ExperienceI earned an undergraduate degree in biology and chemistry from Johns Hopkins University back in May 2014, and I'm presently enrolled as an M.A. student at Johns Hopkins' public health school. In addition to my ongoing academic career, I also have years of teaching expertise under my belt, and this has enabled me to work with students of various ages. While still in high school, I served in the capacity of a volunteer. In particular, I assisted with a science classroom at a middle school. I also spent half a year at college as a GED tutor for adults. After this, I spent 24 months as a teaching assistant in an organic chemistry laboratory.I'm naturally an extroverted person who likes to be around other people, and so I truly derive satisfaction from sharing my expertise with others. My preference is to work with students in middle school and high school. The reason for this is that I can leverage my expertise to give them the push and direction they need to lay a solid foundation upon which they will later be able to build their academic careers. When I'm not studying or tutoring, I enjoy singing, blogging, science fiction/fantasy film and literature, and musical theater.
