Experience
After graduating from the famous High School of Art and Design in Manhattan, I went west to attend the University of Southern California. There, I earned my bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, also minoring in Sociology. I felt the need to continue pursuing a career in art, so I studied for my master's degree in Public Art Studies. Before I completed that program, I discovered that my interests had morphed and that I would be seeking a career in student affairs. Therefore, I enrolled in USC's Postsecondary Administration and Student Affairs master's program. Through that program, I developed a firm foundation towards understanding higher education. I worked in that milieu, and as I progressed in my career, I ended up taking a doctoral degree. Needless to say, education is a great passion of mine. I've always taken time to learn more than just what was taught in the classroom, and this exploration of mine really shaped my interests throughout my life. While I continue to develop my skills, I enjoy tutoring students in various subjects, including Spanish, art, and the social sciences. I always take the time to share with students the ways they can take what they learn and use it in practical life applications.
