I am currently attending Bronx Community College of the CUNY, studying business administration and management to earn an associate's of science degree. I moved to the United States from Europe after I graduated high school. I began tutoring and peer mentoring as part of a GED program. While tutoring for the program, I learned that every student learns differently in terms of pace, method, and personality. Much of my tutoring experience has been math-based, though I am capable of teaching English, science, and social studies as well. Many of the students I tutored went on to pursue their GED. As a tutor, I believe that it is important to find ways to relate the subject to the student's personal hobbies and interests. Making the material relatable is a great way to ensure that they can truly engage with the subject. Teaching revolves around the student, so I find it important that I answer every question patiently, no matter how many times we go over it. I offer students test prep for the SATs and ACTs, as well as for their GED test. When I'm not tutoring, I enjoy spending time outdoors or working out. I love to explore New York City, try new foods, and learn about the history.
