I enjoy tutoring many different subjects, but my favorite one is mathematics. I like to instill a love for math in my students while helping them to reach their goal of academic success. I find that students appreciate mathematics more when I demonstrate how math has so many applications in their daily lives. Mastering mathematical concepts does not have to be a dry and repetitive process. I create a learning environment in which students find themselves having fun while building confidence in their mathematical abilities. Some of the subjects that I tutor are Algebra 1, Calculus 1, Geometry, Elementary Math, Middle School Math, Pre-calculus, Trigonometry, Algebra 2, and SAT Math.I graduated from Howard University, earning a B.S. degree with a focus in Mathematics. I earned a Doctorate of Medicine from St. Matthew's University School of Medicine. I have worked as a mathematics teacher in New York City, and have practiced medicine in the country of Jamaica. I'm currently living in the Bronx. When I'm not tutoring, I like to spend time traveling and running.
