I live in the Bronx, NY, and am employed as a high school mathematics instructor. I graduated from Bronx High School of Science, received my bachelor's degree in anthropology and Spanish from SUNY Plattsburgh, and received my graduate degree in education from CUNY Hunter. I am also a licensed ESL instructor, and I have had experience speaking Spanish while engaging in studies in Mexico and Costa Rica during college. I am able to tutor many subjects in addition to high school mathematics, anthropology, and Spanish. I am also able to tutor pre-algebra, algebra 2, pre-calculus, reading, writing, essay editing, phonics, grammar and mechanics, linguistics, and English, as well as preparation for SAT tests in mathematics levels 1 and 2 and SAT subject tests in Spanish. I truly love to learn new things as well as teach them. I like to ensure that my students enjoy the learning experience as much as I do. I also feel that referencing real life aspects with course material brings about a better understanding. I am extremely active while not engaged in academia, though learning is a mental workout. I like to keep fit as well. I enjoy bike riding, scuba diving, and general exercise. I am the most passionate about traveling to new places and learning the languages and stories of their culture.
