Experience
As a native French speaker, I am fluent in both English and French and have, for fifteen years, worked in both languages. I have taught French to corporate clients and undergraduate students, as well as English as a Second Language (ESL) to government officials and professionals (civil servants and business people) overseas. I love both teaching and promoting professional development, and particularly enjoy helping people to learn and improve their language skills. My approach to teaching is communicative, since active participation helps students to internalize the language and communicate effectively. I studied in Switzerland and France, completed all of my elementary and high school coursework in French, and hold a French Baccalaureate. I attended CUNY Graduate School and University Center and the Metropolitan College of New York. I also have two teaching certificates: Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) and Teaching Business English (TBE). We speak French in my home, and I have a standard French accent. When I'm not teaching, training or tutoring, I enjoy traveling, kickboxing, and reading the Bible.
