#### Education

University at Buffalo - Bachelors, Civil Engineering#### Experience

Before starting my career, I attended the University of Buffalo, where I earned my bachelor's degree in civil engineering while focusing on the topic of structural and geotechnical design. I am now employed as a structural design engineer. In the past, I spent some time working as a tutor in both physics and math at a community college in my area. This gave me a great deal of teaching experience that I still use to this day. I am able to tutor students in algebra, calculus, geometry, trigonometry, and other math courses.I believe that helping students to take an interest in the course material is the best way to create an attractive learning environment. Our time together is spent much more efficiently when the student has a keen interest in the material. I use many real world examples when teaching my students, as this tends to keep them focused and driven, and can develop the independent and reflective thinking ability that is required in this discipline.Whenever I have some free time, I spend it swimming, reading, shooting hoops, and hiking. You might also find me working on a math problem, just for fun.#### Hobbies
