I am a graduate of Lehman College, and have been teaching middle school science for several years in the New York City public school system. My teaching has allowed me to become familiar with the curriculum and requirements that students struggle with in numerous courses. I have witnessed very positive results with the students I tutor; I try to build their confidence as well as their skill level, and it is a proven recipe for success. I also believe that working with struggling students on an individual basis gives them the opportunity to process course content in their own way. I like to set specific goals to address so that the student is able to gain strength in weak areas; something that also builds confidence in learning. I am able to tutor courses in elementary school mathematics; anatomy; biology; chemistry; microbiology; Spanish 1, 2, 3, and 4; reading; essay editing; phonics; study skills and organization; earth and environmental science; physical science; public speaking; and English. In my free time, I enjoy swimming, dancing, and watching The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, and True Detective.
