Experience
As someone who has been tutored themselves, I understand where students are coming from. In the past, I have also struggled with difficult subjects and concepts. I believe this puts me at an advantage when helping others academically. My tutoring style involves giving all I've got to dive into the problems at hand. It is important to discover a student's learning style and current skill level, which is something I like to first focus on. From there, we can build a foundation made of general concepts and ideas, eliminate confusion, and practice to build up confidence. I encourage all of my students to ask me questions throughout the sessions. I began tutoring when I was just sixteen. My specialty is in mathematics. I can help students in pre-algebra, algebra 1-2, pre-calculus, calculus, geometry, elementary and middle school math, statistics, trigonometry, competition math, and arithmetic. I received my Bachelor of Science in Finance from SUNY College-Brockport. I also minored in Economics during my time. I currently work in a school system in the Bronx teaching math to 6th graders. I am a student at Relay Graduate School, where I am working toward my master's degree in teaching. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy swimming, playing soccer, and reading.
