I attended CUNY Lehman College. I have been working with younger children since I was sixteen years old. I started out as a mother's helper and then worked as a waitress at Friendly's. I have known that I wanted to be a teacher since I was very young. I was a substitute teacher and a special educator while I worked on finishing my master's in Elementary Education. I tutor Reading, Writing, Phonics, Grammar and Mechanics, American History, Psychology, Geography, Elementary Math, Social Studies, English, and Test Prep. I currently am a tutor for my niece (a third-grade student) on a regular basis. I tutor her with reading comprehension and help her build up these skills. I love to work individually with students and watch them progress and grow. I find that it is a confidence booster and helps instill pride in their accomplishments. I enjoy spending time with my family, especially taking my almost-seven-year-old daughter on hikes or to the park. I enjoy reading with her and vice-versa. I love to read when I have some downtime. I also enjoy spending days at the beach in the sun.
