Hobbies

I like to read and write blogs. I like painting and photography. I am a very determined person. I work hard to make myself prepared to achieve my goals. I like to inspire other students to strive for their goals too. I have strong passion for teaching. My teaching philosophy reflects my interest in collaborative authorship. Instead of the "full frontal teaching" method of just giving information, I prefer student centered teaching that encourages learning by both students and I. Teaching by giving examples would be my way, and I think the way I explain concepts and my attitude of guiding to the answer than leaving them with the answer are the reasons my friends always like to study with me for exams. I believe I can help students in constructive thinking. I am also very dedicated to the teaching profession. I want to become a professor at a medical college after I obtain my MD-PhD degree. I also wanted to declare my minor in Education, but my schedule did not allow me to. As a tutor, I have found out how dedicated I am to tutoring and how good I feel when I am able to help a student understand a concept. For example, last semester I helped a student review for her Statistical Analysis and Design exam. After the exam she emailed me saying that the review session was very helpful and she was able to answer questions successfully based on the practice problems we solved together. This made me feel really good and inspires me to do a better job every time I tutor a student.
