I am currently working to obtain two bachelor's degrees: one in Creative Writing and the other in Psychology at Macaulay Honors College in Brooklyn. The first time I ever tutored was in high school and I helped juniors prepare for the AP Language and Composition exam. When I was in college, I also helped fellow students who were having trouble with their essays and other English courses. While in school, I tutored students who did not speak a lot of English, and were in need of help with writing essays and finding the right words, grammar, and usage of wording. I love to tutor AP Language and Composition the most due to my intense interest in it. Many students understand how to write a good essay, however, they sometimes face some trouble with going back over their papers and dissecting certain methods and structures. I prefer to guide students and aid them in practicing until they really comprehend the material as a whole. I try not to overwhelm pupils, and like to break the problems down, and after they understand we move on to more advanced material. In my spare time I like to check out local bands, I also do some poetry reading, reading fiction, and watching my favorite shows on television.
