Experience
I received my undergraduate degree in Theater and Anthropology from the University of Delaware. My tutoring experience includes extensive work in the mathematics arena as well as preparation for the Math and Science sections of the ACT, along with SAT and GRE Math. As the son of a mathematics professor, I was perhaps predestined to love the subject matter. I've taught and tutored math in a variety of settings, ranging from a summer camp for students at the junior and senior high school level to a pre-college engineering program. I am comfortable teaching everything from arithmetic through AP Calculus, and have tutored extensively in and around my hometown of San Antonio. At the camp, I also worked with students in engineering and science. My emphasis as a tutor is on understanding material from varying perspectives. This comprehensive approach allows for a more complete and sophisticated mastery of the subject matter. It also helps students to build confidence, generally and in their command of the subject matter, whether employed one-on-one or in a group setting. Aside from teaching and tutoring, I enjoy acting and long distance running. I am also a fan of ultimate Frisbee.
