I became a teacher because I wanted to help people. I take a great deal of pride in my career. The best part of my job is helping my students succeed. I'm comfortable working with all age groups. When teaching, I mostly focus on reading comprehension and creative writing, but I can also be counted on to help with study skills. I greatly enjoy working with students, because I can develop a individual relationship with them. From this rapport, I feel I'm able to build a curriculum tailor made to each of my students' unique needs and personalities. In my previous career, I was an art director for a commercial firm. The reason why I left that behind is simply that I love teaching so much more. It's also a great way for me to use my master's in education to help benefit others.In my spare time, I enjoy classical and jazz music, animal rescue, watching sports, playing sports, graphic designing, and silkscreen printing. I also have an interest in art museums and am currently writing a cookbook for children.
