Experience
I have been a private music/guitar instructor since 2008. While pursuing my bachelors and masters degree I was tutoring my peers and giving guitar lessons in my neighborhood. I know that there are many benefits of tutoring/teaching someone in a one-on-one environment such as, being able to answer questions or demonstrate things in person. I create lessons that fit ones specific needs and wants. My goal is to make sure that my students not only understand and learn ideas in a lasting way, but to have fun as well. My students should feel like they want to learn music, not have to learn it. Along with tutoring, I have performed with the City College Rock ensemble and Latin band, under "El Maestro" Ray Santos. My playing experience also extends to outside of my university life. I have performed with a metal band called Left in Ruins and was fortunate to open for national acts such as, but not limited to: Testament, The Misfits, Exodus, Overkill, SoulFly, Chris Caffery (Trans-Siberian Orchestra), Marc Rizzo and Doro Pesch. I also perform with a rock band called Kicksonic and have been fortunate enough to play at iconic venues such as The Bitter End.
