EducationSecond semester junior Mathematics and Psychology Double Major.
ExperienceI have tutored math and physics in the Math Study Center. I also am a Teacher's Assistant for a Social Psychology class at Wesleyan.
My SAT scores were Writing-740, Math-720, Critical Reading-690. And I took the Math SAT II and received a 760.
I want to be a tutor because I love math, I enjoy working with young people, children and adolescents alike, and I especially like to teach. I find that conveying information to someone in the way that most makes sense to them, and in math there are many ways of conceptualizing any principle, is a puzzle in it's own right, and an a most interesting one to solve.
I have taken several linear and abstract algebra, discrete mathematics, calculus, probability, and complex and real analysis at Wesleyan. In high school, I took algebra one and two, geometry, and precalculus. I have also taken astronomy classes in high school and at Wesleyan University, chemistry, and many psychology classes.
I am the Community Advisor for my apartment building at Wesleyan, which entails ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable environment for my residents. I also put on programs for them.
I was on the Wesleyan University Men's Varsity Tennis team for over two years and have coached tennis at summer camps over many summers.
HobbiesI act and am currently in a production of Macbeth. I sing a in gospel choir. And I love sports and the outdoors. I love biking, tennis, and soccer especially.
