Experience
I have an extensive background both academically and professionally. I currently attend Swarthmore College and major in Linguistics and Classical Studies. I recently spent a year in Israel, where I studied Biblical Hebrew and Ancient Greek. I also performed in the production of First Date: The Musical. During my experiences, I have worked with many cutting-edge classics professionals. For an entire summer, I taught Latin curriculum to middle schoolers in the Bronx. From my personal and professional experiences, I have found the necessity of being flexible during every lesson. It is also important to bring laughter to learning. I believe in allowing the pupil to have some control over their lesson plan. Connecting the material we are learning about the student's hobbies and interests has proved to be a successful teaching method for me, so I continue to do this in each lesson. If the student is having a good time, it often means they are becoming motivated and involved in learning. I find the amount of laughter in the classroom to be a direct look at how well our lessons are going. I look forward to sharing the fun of learning with new students. When I am not tutoring, you can find me studying genealogy, listening to music, and playing trivia.
