Experience
I've worked in education for more than fifteen years. I've attended the College of Mount Saint Vincent and the State University of New York at Albany. I have a graduate degree in Multicultural Education and an undergraduate degree in English. During undergrad, I also minored in Psychology. I've taught middle school (grades 5-8), which has helped me to assess many different needs and put me in contact with many backgrounds. I've had to create my own lessons, programs, and curricula that integrate a lot of approaches and fit many different needs. It's been a main objective of mine to help students feel confident in their studies and learn as much as possible. I understand how intimidating test-taking can be, and work to calm students. My primary area of expertise is in Writing and Reading, but I'm also successful with many other subjects. I have the ability to simplify complex concepts in any discipline. I've worked with youth and adult students, and am always up for a challenge. I can help with Literature, Life Sciences, Religious Studies, and with building essay editing and organizing skills.
